Is Firefox 3.5 the ultimate home business browser?

Firefox 3-5

The latest version of the Firefox web browser was released yesterday and social media consultant, San Sharma, wonders whether it's the ultimate browser for home business owners.

As a declaration, being the world's second most used browser doesn't sound so impressive, but Mozilla's Firefox has managed a groundswell of movement away from Microsoft's monopoly (and its irksome Internet Explorer) and built a solid reputation as a faster, more secure web browser.

Its latest version, Firefox 3.5, has a rep' to protect, and it does so with a slew of new features that might make it the ultimate home business browser.

The most important of which, for homeworkers, is the new JavaScript engine. What does that mean? Well, it makes it twice as fast - and faster still when dealing with resource-hogging web apps, like Google Docs.

Other new features include location aware browsing, so that websites, with your permission, can find you on a map - handy when you're ordering take-away! It supports HTML 5, which can deliver audio and video content without having to download a plugin, like Flash. Also, there are new ways to manage your windows and tabs, so you don't get lost amongst the clutter, and you can cover your tracks with a new 'private browsing' feature (not that you'd need to, right?).

You can download Firefox 3.5 on the link below and let us know, in the comments, whether you think it's the best browser for home business.
